Wagon West - July 2024
On this trip you will experience life on the westward trails during the 1840s. You will literally stand in the ruts of wagons, walk in the footsteps of the pioneers and learn about all the pitfalls that made the trip dangerous. You will be following one specific wagon train across the prairie, a large wagon train that fragmented many times before a part of the train tried to take a brand new "shortcut". Here is where part of the train elected George Donner to be their leader. You will follow their struggles through the Wasatch Mountains and across the Salt Desert to the camps they were forced to make in the Sierra Nevada Mountains when they were caught in the snows. You will also see sites related to the Bear Flag Revolt, the Mormon migration and the Transcontinental Railroad, as well as experiencing other famous locations in the west. After reaching California you will spend a day each in San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego and Las Vegas. You will see the Grand Canyon and Pikes Peak on the Come ride with us on a 12-day adventure. NOTE: This trip is specifically designed for high school students.
A variation of this trip is anticipated to occur again in the summer of 2030. Contact us to stay up to date and register!
